Programme of Events for 2017 - 2018

All Meetings will be held in St. Michael’s Church, Mytholmroyd.

Doors open at 7pm, talks start at 7.30pm.

All talks and the two walks are free to Members. Visitors pay £3.00. Annual Membership £10.00.

Everyone welcome, just turn up on the night.

  • 8th December – Annual General Meeting – Followed by Members’ Evening and refreshments.

  • 12th January – Canals across the Pennines – Geoff Budd.
  • 9th February – A long time ago but not far away – Another look at prehistoric life in the Calder Valley – Dr. David Shepherd.
  • 9th March – All our own work: The Co-operative Pioneers of Hebden Bridge and their Mill – Andrew Bibby.
  • 13th April – The Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway and the Calder Valley line – Noel Coates.
  • 12th May – To Be Arranged.
  • 8th June – Guided Walk around Heptonstall – David Cant.
  • 14th September – Entertainment in Cragg Vale through the years – Yvonne Broadbent.
  • 12th October – The Vikings – Britain’s Ancestors – Noel Moroney.
  • 9th November – To be arranged.
  • 7th December – Annual General Meeting – Followed by Members’ Evening and refreshments.
  • Members have free membership of Hebden Bridge Local History Society Library.
