Programme of Events for 2026

All meetings will be held at St Michael’s Church, Mytholmroyd, doors open at 7pm, meetings start at 7:30pm.

All talks and the two walks are free to Members. Visitors pay £5.00. Annual Membership £15.00.
Everyone welcome, just turn up on the night.

  • March 13th Ruth Beazley Mill Bank and Cottonstones- books available to buy.April 10th Anne Kirker 4 Squares in HalifaxMay 8th Mike Gray Edleston’s- A History of Asquith Bottom Mill and Dyeworks, Sowerby Bridge.

    June 26th Visit to Old Cragg Hall- 3-5pm MEMBERS ONLY

    July 12th SUNDAY Garden Party at Westfield House, Mytholmroyd Refreshments, Stalls, Games,

    Tombola £5.00 per person.

    August- Coach trip tba

    September 11th David Hardcastle The History of UK Police Horses, ( The Mounted Section)

    October 9th David Cant A Springtime Saunter

    8th November SUNDAY Laying of a wreath, Remembrance Sunday

    November 13th Corinne McDonald The Picker making industry in and around Todmorden

    December 11th AGM + Seasonal refreshments +

    Arrangement for the Garden party in July to be discussed at a later date.

  • Members have free membership of Hebden Bridge Local History Society Library.
